Cooking Program
In 2024, the Mathulini CPA launched a Cooking Program aimed at equipping young people and adults with practical culinary skills to create job opportunities and foster self-reliance. The program enrolled 10 students who received comprehensive training in various cooking techniques, kitchen management, and culinary entrepreneurship.
- The total cost of the program amounted to R45,000.00.
- This initiative is designed to not only build technical skills but also to empower participants to pursue careers in the culinary industry or start their own food-related businesses.
Driver's License & Heavy-Duty Training Program
Understanding the importance of driving and heavy-duty machinery operation in today’s job mar-ket, the CPA initiated a comprehensive Driver’s License and Heavy-Duty Program.
A total of 35 students completed training for Code 10 driver’s licenses, which are in high demand in industries such as logistics and transport. Additionally, 2 students received training for Code 14 driver’s licenses (allowing them to operate larger vehicles), while 6 students were trained as excavator operators, preparing them for jobs in construction and mining.
- This program cost R311,600.00 (R141,950.00 for Code 10 training, R169,650.00 for Code 14 and excavator operator training).
- The program’s aim is to enhance employability and contribute to the local workforce by providing essential qualifications.
